Securistyle is celebrating 40 years of manufacturing market leading window hardware solutions.
First founded in 1978, Securistyle was originally located at Prestbury Road in Cheltenham as part of the Thornville Industrial Group. Here, the company grew from strength to strength, investing in the factory and equipment and developing revolutionary hardware products such as the Defender Standard window hinge.
After five years, Securistyle moved its production in Cheltenham to the Kingsmead Industrial Estate, where it is still based today.
In 2012, lock conglomerate ASSA ABLOY acquired the company as a result of Securistyle’s strong synergies with home security company Yale. Subsequently, Securistyle’s Cheltenham factory became the Centre of Excellence for Window hardware with the ASSA ABLOY factory in Portobello becoming the Centre of Excellence for Door hardware.
Today, Securistyle is an award winning, global manufacturer and exports its products to 45 countries across the world.
Harry Warrender, Product Unit Director for Securistyle, comments: “The whole Securistyle team is immensely proud of how far we’ve come. From our humble roots in Cheltenham to a brand whose products are specified on skyscrapers across the globe, Securistyle is a company that’s stood the test of time.
We have an excellent team behind us whose dedication and hard work has helped make the brand what it is today. We are looking forward to what the next 40 years has in store for us.”
