Over the last few weeks, we have been asking the Securistyle team to talk to us about their working lives in order to provide an insight into any upcoming projects and industry trends. Third in our ‘Meet the Team’ series is Export Manager, Paul Joyce.
What is your job title?
At Securistyle, my job title is Export Sales Manager.
How long have you worked at Securistyle?
I have worked for Securistyle for 15 years.
Describe your job in three words.
My jobs described in three words would be challenging, varied, rewarding.
In your view, what are the key trends in the industry right now?
In my opinion, the key trends in the industry right now are larger, heavier windows that provide outstanding natural ventilation and reflective façades.
Describe a typical workday for you.
At Securistyle, every day is different and diverse depending on which country I am working in, or which project I am working on at the time.
What do you like most about working at Securistyle?
At Securistyle, I enjoy the multiple challenges, and how all sectors of the business work together to achieve the end result.
What is your favourite project you’ve worked on recently?
My favourite project which I have worked on recently was the Indiabulls Blu Project. Spread over 10 acres of land, Indiabulls Blu is one of the largest, luxury residential builds in Worli, South Mumbai. The development comprises of four forty-storey residential tower blocks featuring over 8,000 Securistyle Parallel Plus and Storm hinges providing the ultimate solution in natural ventilation.
Can you tell us about any exciting projects that you’re working on right now?
I am currently working on an exciting project which involves our technical department and some selected customers, the project involves a new product design which will allow us to offer a larger range of products and be more competitive in the market.
What do you enjoy when not working?
In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, cycling and spending quality time with friends and family (there is never a dull moment with seven grandchildren around).
What’s your favourite quote?
My favourite quote is “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much” – Helen Keller.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a child, I always wanted to be a professional footballer when I grew up.
What are the values that drive you?
The key values which drive me are integrity, hard work, trust, enthusiasm and determination.
